Pulled Pork on a tortilla, better knows as carnitas in Mexico, is an absolute joy to eat. And three of our salsas go really well with it. Our red salsa, our salsa habanera and our salsa verde all add a great twist to juicy, slow-cooked, fork-tender pork.
Cooking the meat requires both good quality meat and the right seasoning. While your trusted butcher can provide the former, we can only highly recommend our in-house made spice-blend.
Preparation: Generously rub a slab of pork shoulder or pork neck with our spice rub on all sides and slow cook in the oven for 2.5 to 3.5 hours until pull-apart tender. We suggest you cook the meat at 150°C in a dutch oven bit of liquid added to the bottom of your cooker.
